We offer a variety of ways for you to explore how Our Lady of the Lakes is set apart from the rest!
If you would like to visit us, you can schedule a tour of our campus or a shadow day where your child will "shadow" a current student and experience a day as a Laker!
We also host multiple admissions events including a winter Open House, Kindergarten Sneak-A-Peak, and Pre-Kindergarten Parent Information Night, etc. for future Laker Families to learn more about what we have to offer.

Prospective parents and students are encouraged to tour our school and experience what sets Our Lady of the Lakes apart from the rest! School tours are offered during the week and can be scheduled by contacting the Admissions Office at [email protected] or 248-623-0340 Ext.4. If you prefer to schedule a tour using our automatic scheduler, please click below for available dates/times.

Shadow days are offered to prospective students entering Grades 1 - 11, October 1 through May 1. This opportunity allows your child to experience a typical day at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School. Your child will be paired up with a current Laker student and go through their schedule. Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet our teachers, interact with other students, enjoy a complimentary lunch and some Laker swag!
Shadow visits are available select Tuesdays through the school year. Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule a day that works for all of us. We can't wait to see you!
Students interested in transferring to Our Lady of the Lakes for the 2025-26 school year are encouraged to schedule a shadow visit.
What to Bring: ES students should plan to bring a peanut free snack, a water bottle, and weather appropriate outside gear for recess. MS & HS students may have a cell phone, but they will be asked to put them in the phone holder upon entering each classroom as per school policy. Arrival: Please arrive at the specified times below depending on which grade you are visiting and meet inside our main entrance, door #2. Admissions and your shadow host will meet up with you there.
ES: 7:50 a.m.
MS & HS: 7:20 a.m.Dress Code: Students are asked to wear church appropriate attire. No jeans please. Lunch: All shadow students will receive a complimentary lunch. If your child prefers to bring a lunch from home, that is okay too! Please inform us of any food allergies prior to their visit. Pick-Up ES: 3:00 p.m. Just inside our main entrance, door #2.
MS & HS: 2:35 p.m. Students typically exit the building and meet up with parents outside.If you are shadowing for a transition grade (4th to 5th or 8th to 9th), you have the option to shadow the morning with your entrance grade and the afternoon with your current grade. Please talk to admissions about the specifics for this type of day.
