PONTIAC >> Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes did not waste any time, scoring a touchdown on their first possession in their season opener.
It was the first of seven touchdowns for the Lakers who defeated Rochester Lutheran Northwest, 42-6, on Thursday night at Wisner Stadium.
“I knew we had some weapons and guys who could make plays. We blocked a lot better than we did in our scrimmage. We have the weapons we have to execute and finish,’’ Lakers first-year head coach Jason Albrecht said.
Junior Lakers running back Kyle Cartier was the standout. […] Cartier scored four touchdowns and set up another one.
