While delivering Thanksgiving baskets to Holy Redeemer Parish in Detroit, Our Lady of the Lakes Junior High Student Council students met with students at Holy Redeemer School. As they talked with the students more, the Lakers wanted to do something for their new friends for Christmas.

The Jr. High StuCo decided to collect pop cans and bottles to buy the Holy Redeemer 8th grade class presents for Christmas. They collected almost 2,000 with the help of the entire Our Lady of the Lakes School community. Our students purchased hats and sweet treats to give to the Holy Redeemer students. The Lakers put together 22 gift bags, that they decorated themselves, for their new Holy Redeemer friends.
