The Michigan High School Athletic Association and Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan co-sponsored their Reaching Higher Showcase last week at Milford High School. The event began in 2009 to give high school basketball players the opportunity to demonstrate their talents in front of college coaches.

The program featured guest speakers Central Michigan alumna Crystal Bradford and former Central Michigan assistant coach Dave Ginsberg. The players participated in skill sessions before splitting into teams to play in front of NCAA, JUCO, and NAIA coaches and scouts.

Our Lady of the Lakes’, Brooklyn Robak was one of the 100 lucky ladies who attended this invitation only event. Last season as a freshman, Brooklyn averaged 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 2 assists per game. She also earned All League Honors for the Catholic League.
