Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School congratulates Anthony Mersino of the Class of 2020. Mersino joined the Laker family in second grade. He quickly joined in playing football, basketball, and baseball during his time as a Laker. We turn to Mersino’s AP English Literature teacher, Mr. Savage, who also happens to be one of his favorite teachers, for more:
“My first impression of Anthony Mersino was that he would be one of those students that I’d enjoy chatting with, due mainly to our mutual love for the band Guns N’ Roses, but that he may be a challenge to have in class. I couldn’t have been more wrong. When we have class debates and discussions, Anthony always has something insightful to add, and he’s capable of thinking outside of the box while also remaining sensible and thinking deeply. When he chooses to set his mind on a task, there is no limit to the influence he can have in whatever work or social community that he chooses to be involved in. I look forward to hearing about his future.”
