Congratulations to senior, Bailee Pfahl, for she was presented with the Good Citizen award by the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Sashabaw Plains Chapter. This award is given to students who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
In order to apply, Bailee had to complete an essay on “Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving It: How do the combined actions of so many good citizens keep our nation moving forward?”.
Bailee wrote in her essay:
"We have the power to inspire others while taking action to create change, and it is our responsibility to use the voices and freedoms that we have been given to help facilitate the progression of our nation."
Great job Bailee!
Bailee was featured in both the Oakland Press and Clarkston News for her award.
