Our Lady of the Lakes is excited to announce the hiring of our new head varsity football coach, Jason Albrecht. No stranger to the Lakes community, Albrecht served as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the past five years. In the same span, he has served as the school’s K-12 PE teacher. Prior to his time at OLL Albrecht coached at Farmington High School for six years.
“After a diligent search, we are very happy that such a qualified and capable individual was right here in our school”, said Athletic Director Jared Kullman. “Jason has a tremendous relationship with all of our students, and we are very impressed with his experience as well as his philosophy on coaching and building young men.”
Albrecht played football at Albion College and holds a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine. He will become just the fourth head varsity football coach in school history, and if you ask him, he is ready for the job.
“I am truly honored and blessed to be the named head football coach of Our Lady of the Lakes. To have an opportunity to lead a program at a school with such great tradition and community support is more than any coach could ask for. I have huge shoes to fill and expectations will be high, but I look forward to building upon the tradition that those who came before me have developed.”
