Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Middle School Teacher, Chris Snarey. In addition to teaching Chris will also serve OLL as the Varsity Bowling Coach, Camp Director, and Secondary Division Interventionist. Chris graduated from Our Lady of the Lakes in 2001. During his time at Lakes, he was involved in multiple sports, including several football championships. After graduating from Saginaw Valley University, he spent his time tutoring kindergarteners, where he found his love for teaching. This journey took him to Raleigh, North Carolina where he spent 12 years teaching 7th grade social studies and coaching. Chris recently moved back to Detroit where he has spent the last 2 years teaching.
“When asked if I would help out with the Lakes football team, I was overjoyed with the opportunity to rejoin the Laker family,” he says. “Now being offered a position to teach at such a wonderful school has really helped me realize God’s plan for me to come home.”
“Mr. Snarey has an impressive background in education and demonstrates an even more impressive conviction for developing and supporting young people. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to build upon our already wonderful middle school staff by welcoming him home to Our Lady of the Lakes,” says Asst. Principal Jared Kullman.
Welcome Chris Snarey to the Laker Family!
