The Lady Lakers Cross Country team concluded their season this past Saturday, November 4 at the State Final meet held at the Michigan International Speedway. The early morning race was crisp, but dry as 244 of the State’s best Division 4 runners stood at the starting line. Senior Olivia Hankey led the Lakers finishing 10th overall earning All-State Honors for the fourth time in as many years. She ran a course personal best time of 19:31.5 and qualified to run for Team Michigan in the Mideast Meet of Champions. Teammate and fellow Senior Josie Ware also ran a course personal best time of 23:02.0. Freshman Bailey Pfhal performed well on the big stage running a season best time of 22:55.1.

The Lady Lakers placed 26th in the team standings. Other team members contributing to the effort were Seniors Kari Romkema and Stephanie Carver and Freshmen Kailey Koshorek and Elizabeth Ware.
