Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School celebrates Class of 2020 valedictorian Rose Casolari. Casolari is a very involved student at Lakes, a member of multiple clubs including National Honor Society, Student Council, Film Club, Drama, and more. She is a three time CHSL Scholastic All-Catholic, WXYZ Brightest & Best nominee. Casolari is attending Columbia College Chicago and even received a Faculty Recognition Award for Outstanding Art Portfolio. We asked her favorite teacher Mr. Kennedy about Casolari:
“Rose is by far the most motivated student that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her desire for true understanding is so very admirable. She is always pushing herself and the people around her to be better, including her teachers. Her headstrong nature is going to carry her through life, especially in her desire to work in film. Rose spearheaded a Film Club at Our Lady of the Lakes, not to watch films, but to make a film. That is the kind of student she is, and it is that resourcefulness and self-drive that make me believe in her success so fully. I will miss Rose when she’s gone, but I look forward to seeing where she goes from here.”
We wish Rose all the best in her future!
