Fr. Scott Thibodeau was appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes in July of 2017. Fr. Scott was previously the pastor at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, St. Raphael's in Garden City, and associate pastor at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, in Royal Oak and Our Lady of Sorrows, in Farmington Hills. Fr. Scott is a graduate of Catholic schools. He attended St. Peter and Paul Grade School, in Detroit; and graduated from Dearborn's Divine Child High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He attended Sacred Heart Major Seminary, in Detroit, for five years, earning a Master of Divinity degree, in theology. He was ordained a Catholic Priest, in the Archdiocese of Detroit, in May 1998. Fr. Scott is now the Family Moderator of the Family of Parishes overseeing Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Anne Parish, St. Daniel Parish & St. Rita Parish.
Mrs. Kenny currently serves as a member of the MNSAA Leadership Council for the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS) and acts as site visit team leader for AOD school accreditation site visits. This council is responsible for setting standards and reviewing the accreditation reports for all non-public schools who receive their accreditation through MNSAA in the state of Michigan. Mrs. Kenny has effectively coordinated Shared Services support and is known to run one of the most cost-effective programs through Brighton Area Schools Shared Services Program. She has also been instrumental in securing a wide range of grant funding for the benefit of the school.

Mr. Jared Kullman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Social Studies from Western Michigan University. He earned a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching, specializing in K-12 Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, from Marygrove College in 2012. Continuing his studies in Marygrove's post graduate Ed. Leadership program, Mr. Kullman obtained certification as an administrator in 2019. He holds an active State of Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate and K-12 Administrator Certificate.
With 19 years of experience in education, including 10 years in Catholic education, Mr. Kullman has taught at Clawson Public Schools/Center for Advanced Studies and Art, Bishop Foley Catholic, and Orchard Lake St. Mary's. At CASA, he served as Lead Teacher for four years and as Interim Head of School from 2014 to 2015.
Mr. Kullman has extensive experience in Advanced Placement (AP) and curriculum development. He has also served on the executive committee of the Catholic High School League (CHSL) and participated in an advisory task force supporting the Office of Catholic Schools. In athletics, he has coached 30 seasons of varsity soccer and one season of varsity bowling, earning “Coach of the Year” honors nine times and leading his teams to over 200 wins.
A strong advocate for holistic education, Mr. Kullman champions a focus on the whole student—mind, body, and soul. At Our Lady of the Lakes, he has developed programs such as the LIL Sports Program and PreK Sports Camp which provides foundational athletic experiences for students in grades PreK-3. He continues to promote the need for academic and arts education as well as after-school enrichment programming to support the diverse interests of the PK-12 student population.
Mr. Kullman is beginning his 8th year at Our Lady of the Lakes, where he has served as a coach, athletic director, teacher, and administrator.

Mrs. Kristin Dawson holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Wayne State University and a Master's degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. She is certified in Elementary and Middle School Social Studies. With 14 years in education, including 11 years in Catholic education, Mrs. Dawson has served as a teacher at Schofield Elementary in Warren, MI (3) and St. Anselm in Dearborn Heights (3). She has been honored as Our Lady of the Lakes Elementary Teacher of the Year 2023-2024. Mrs. Dawson is a certified Catechist and has coached cross country and track at the CYO, high school and college level over the last 22 years.
She is beginning her 8th year at Our Lady of the Lakes where she has served as a first grade teacher and PreK lead.

Mrs. Kitty Farkas earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Social Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego. She continued her education with a Masters degree at Eastern Michigan University, specializing in Elementary Education with a focus on Language Arts. Mrs. Farkas holds a State of Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate for K-8 in all subjects (self-contained). With 24 years in education, including 23 years in Catholic education, she has served as the Assistant Principal at St. Patrick Elementary School in Brighton, Michigan. Mrs. Farkas is a recipient of the Catholic Foundation of Michigan's Amazing Catholic Educator award in 2021 and has 23 years of experience managing accommodations and academic plans for student success.
Mrs. Farkas is beginning her 7th year at Our Lady of the Lakes where she has served as an administrator and Director of Student Services.
Mrs. Theresa Owens earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. She holds a Professional Teaching Certificate and has dedicated 21 years to Catholic education. Mrs. Owens has served as a teacher at St. Fabian (1) and St. Patrick in Brighton (14). She has been honored as the Our Lady of the Lakes High School Teacher of the Year. Additionally, Mrs. Owens was selected to receive the Archdiocese of Detroit High School Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. This prestigious award was given to one outstanding High School teacher throughout all of the AOD High Schools.
Mrs. Owens is beginning her 6th year at Our Lady of the Lakes where she has served as a teacher, director of our A.N.C.H.O.R. program and administrator.
