The postseason is still months away, but the Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes girls basketball team got a taste of it on Tuesday night.
The former Class D champs played host to Bloomfield Hills and spent most of the game chasing the Black Hawks, trailing by double figures in the second half. However, the Lakers kept on the attack and went on an 11-0 run in the fourth to pull out a 51-47 victory.
“These are the games you get at tournament time. It’s nice to get these games and it’s nice to win these games,” WOLL coach Steve Robak said. “Learning how to win in that kind of pressure situation is what tournament time is all about.”
