Exploring colleges and universities looks a little different this year for Our Lady of the Lakes High School students. Instead of group tours, large in-person college fairs, and college reps coming to speak to students in the building, we have been doing virtual visits. While it's not the same as being able to shake the hand of the individual reading your personal essay, it definitely offer some advantages.

Distance is no longer an issue when getting college representatives to speak to students. Schools across the country are able to easily set up a virtual meeting with a small group of students. Colleges and universities are able to present slideshows and take students on campus tours through Google Street View. Interested students can now easily connect to alumni, professors, and current students, all from the comfort of the classroom or their home. 

Our Lady of the Lakes Class of 2021 has already applied to over 30 different colleges and universities, and been awarded over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships so far!
