Here at Lakes, we aren’t just a school, we are a family. And what is the definition of a family? A family is a collection of people that love each other, of course! Why not come together as a family and share a little love?  The middle school held a dance to celebrate and enjoy a few hours to just relax and stay in each other’s company.  

The dance was two hours long. Both of our school’s gymnasiums were open for the students to use; the older gym for dancing and enjoying refreshments, the newer for playing sports like basketball and volleyball. Just from being there with my friends, I could tell that everyone was having a great time. The DJ had a wide selection of music and the students were dancing and singing along to the songs. There was a raffle with prizes, which is always an exciting part of the night. Overall, the dance was really fun and a memorable experience! I hope we can hold something like this again.
