Grant Ross has been a student at Our Lady of the Lakes since Kindergarten. He has been involved in athletics all throughout his years at Lakes and played football and basketball in high school. In fact, he has been the Lakes starting quarterback for all four years of high school.
Not only is Grant an exceptional athlete, but Grant is a top student as well with a final cumulative GPA above a 4.0. He is also an active member of the National Honor Society. Academics are very important to Grant. When asked what advice he would give underclassmen, he said “put school work before sports.” In fact, his favorite quote is “the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.” This applies to both Grant’s academic career as well as his athletic career.
Grant’s favorite subject is math, and his favorite teacher at Lakes, Ms. Metzoian says about Grant, “Grant Ross is a hard working, dedicated student. He reaches the highest limit in merit, integrity, respectfulness, honor, persistence, and self-dedication. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be his teacher.”
I personally will miss having Grant in class. He is very hardworking and dedicated and genuinely interested in learning. I know he will excel at the college level. Grant will be attending Michigan State University in the fall, and he will be studying Finance.
