Congratulations to all of the second grade students in Mrs. Selden’s class! Over the past 5 months, they have all been working very hard to prepare their hearts, spirits, and minds to receive Jesus Christ for the first time in Holy Communion. It has been an exciting time for all the students as have they learned, discussed, reflected and prayed about the great Gift of the Eucharist that God has given us!

In culmination, the second grade and eighth grade students lead the May Crowning ceremony on Friday, May 4, 2018. It was truly a special day, celebrating the second graders First Holy Communions and the eighth graders recent Confirmation. The entire school was in attendance of this special ceremony and watched as the second grade students placed flowers in front of our Mother Mary and as the eighth grade students crowned our Mother Mary. In addition, Fr. Scott lead a beautiful All School Rosary. Afterwards, Parents and Grandparents enjoyed light refreshments are the Parent Appreciation Reception.

All around it was a wonderful and memorable day for everyone at Our Lady of the Lakes! Thank you to those who helped make the day possible!
