In the finals, the Catholic alliance had to face Team 1023, Bedford Express, whom Laker Robotics beat at Ann Arbor and Team 503, Frog Force, whom Laker Robotics beat at the Center Line District Event last year. The Catholic alliance had no problems in the finals and Laker Robotics picked up their second blue banner of the year and the fourth in their history. Laker Robotics joined only one other team in Michigan that has won two district events and they are one of the two teams in the world that has gone undefeated in the playoffs. Laker Robotics had the great honor of helping both their alliance partners win their first blue banner ever as well.
On top of all that, Laker Robotics won the Quality Award for the organization and accessibility of their electrical box. After all was said and done, Laker Robotics placed Second in Michigan out of 451 teams. Laker Robotics next competition will The Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University.
