Our 6th grade students have started a computer science curriculum called CS-First. It is developed by Google and the students get to learn the basics of computer programming. As a part of the curriculum the students learn to code using an online program called Scratch.
Students have already developed programs that animate objects, answer questions, and one that was even designed to help elementary students learn their multiplication tables!
Who knows what our Laker Programmers will create next?
Check out our Laker Lives Interview below with sixth graders Joseph Anthony and Allison Voto talking about what they have created with Scratch!
