The Laker Team may be small in numbers but at the Genesee Cross Country Invite on Saturday September 8th they showed they are still a force to be reckoned with.  For the boy’s team, Noah Rodriguez medaled with a fourth-place finish running a career best time of 18:50.94.  Also, achieving a personal best was Chris Cempura with a time of 22:18.80.

The girl’s team brought home the 2nd place team trophy for the small school’s division, thanks to a 1st place finish by Bailee Pfahl.  Also contributing to the team effort was Kailey Koshorek with an 8th place finish and Elizabeth Ware who set a personal course record.

Great job by all the runners, the next meet is Saturday, September 15th at the 51st Annual Holly / Duane Raffin Festival of Race @ Springfield Oaks County Park (Oakland County Fairground in Davisburg). Girls with be running at 8:40 AM, with the Boys starting at 10:20 AM.
